Over the past several days, we have been updating our tax-related publications in anticipation of the 2005 / 2006 tax season. We were so busy adding new content in 2005 that we neglected the old, and we're in the process of reversing that trend right now.

Over the past several days, we have been updating our tax-related publications in anticipation of the 2005 / 2006 tax season.  We were so busy adding new content in 2005 that we neglected the old, and we're in the process of reversing that trend right now.

You may have noticed quite a few new tax publications appearing on our front page over the last week or so.  Those publications included:

• Income Tax 2005 - a summary of the federal income tax code changes for the calendar year 2005.
• Income Tax 2006 - a summary of the federal income tax code changes for the calendar year 2006.
• 2005 Tax Brackets - income tax rate schedules for the tax year 2005.
• Tax Brackets - income tax rate schedules for 2006.
• Mileage Reimbursement Rates - changes in the cents per mile deductions and expenses for 2006.

While those changes are obvious, what are not so obvious are the changes we've been making to previously published tax information.  We updated 14 tax articles just last week, including adding another publication - 2004 Tax Brackets.

Finally, we've also discovered that some of our retirement topics such as IRA and Roth-related information are in needed of an update too.  We'll be working on that section over the next several work days.
