Recruiter

A Recruiter is someone that supplies employees to a company.  Recruiters are sometimes formal members of a human resources department, or can be an external service provider.

It is important to understand the recruiter's perspective when constructing a cover letter or resume for a job.  They often have little time, and many job applications to review.  Therefore, grabbing and holding the attention of the recruiter is important.

Some job placement companies specialize in the hiring of recruiters, which are compensated in a way that is similar to a sales commission.  Before working directly with a recruiter, make sure you completely understand all the terms and conditions of their service, including who pays their fees if you are successful in finding a job.
