Diversity is a term used to describe the differences in people due to individual characteristics such as age, religion, gender, ethic background, sexual orientation and race.  Companies today have grown to value diversity in the workforce and demonstrate this by creating a work environment where mutual respect and appreciation of the similarities and differences is appreciated and embraced.
