More Free Cover Letter Samples

Cover LettersWe've already published several free cover letter templates that you can download.  But the demand for examples is high, so we're going to publish even more free cover letter samples that you can download and use as a guide to preparing your own cover letter.

Cover Letter Sample Templates

As was the case with the previous cover letter samples / templates that we've published, these examples can be used for more than just a cheat sheet of sorts to preparing cover letters.  By reading through these samples, you are better prepared to generate your own ideas.

  Additional Resources

In addition, since all of our templates are publishing using Microsoft Word, you can use our samples in their existing format and fill them in with your own information - right into our templates.  It really shouldn't be too hard to construct a good cover letter, given all the examples and information we've provided for you to download.

Cover Letter Basics

As mentioned in our publication on free cover letter templates, the cover letter itself is your first introduction to a hiring manager or recruiter.  So you'll want to make sure the letter catches and holds their attention.  It also needs to be able to arouse their curiosity enough to encourage them to read through your resume.

Listed below are the four basic components of a cover letter.  If you want to know more information about each of these points, then take a look at our article on How to Write a Cover Letter.

The four components of a good cover letter include:

  1. Introductory Paragraph - a fact-filled overview of your skills and achievements that later already appear on your resume.
  2. Objective Statement - a summary of the job opportunities that you want to pursue with a particular company.
  3. Achievements - the same achievements that appear in your resume also need to be included in your cover letter.
  4. Closing Statement - a simple statement of your optimism to close out the letter.

More Free Samples to Download

Now that we've briefly covered the four components of a cover letter, we're going to help you to see how to go about structuring one through a series of free cover letter samples that you can download and modify to suit your own needs and background.

Keep in mind that there are even more samples in our sister article on Free Cover Letter Templates.  We've worked hard to continue to bring you fairly representative samples of letters that cover quite a few of the jobs out there.  It's that old Pareto Principle - most of you will find what you're looking for in the samples we've supplied.

Stockbroker Cover Letter Template

Our cover letter template for stockbrokers is another example that is suitable for individuals with a somewhat narrow focus from a skills set standpoint.  Being a stockbroker requires an analytical mindset, specialized knowledge, and the results must be impressive to hold onto clients in this very competitive industry.

Because of the competitive nature of this industry, there can be quite a bit of churn as brokers move up the corporate ladder by switching companies.  Here is a cover letter sample you can use if you're thinking about making just such a switch - Stockbroker Cover Letter Template.

Advertising Professional Cover Letter Template

Our final cover letter sample is one for those of you in the advertising or marketing industry.  We say this because oftentimes advertising and marketing professionals work closely together to develop strategies and tactics.

Because of the close tie between these two professions, the skill set required to do each function is somewhat similar.  So here is our last download link to a cover letter for those advertising and marketing professionals out there - Advertising Professional Cover Letter Template.
