In general, all cover letters need to include the following four components or sections:
- Introductory Paragraph - this is a fact-filled overview of your skills and achievements that already appear on your resume.
- Objective Statement - a summary of the job opportunities that you want to pursue with a particular company. This paragraph explains why you are writing the company.
- Achievements - the achievements on your cover letter are pulled directly from your resume.
- Closing Statement - finally, you're going to close out your cover letter with a simple statement of your optimism.
