Job Interview Question Database

JobsWe're going to provide you with might be called a data dump of job interview questions.  As structured, these questions are meant to provide you with a job interview question database that you can use for future reference.  The interviewing process is an important part of the hiring process, so being prepared for a variety of questions is essential to a successful job interview.

Traditional Interview Question Database

We're labeling this particular database of interview questions as "traditional" interview questions because of the way the questions themselves are structured.  Traditional job interview questions are pretty straightforward - simple open-ended questions that provide the job seeker a chance to respond in a relatively unstructured manner.

  Additional Resources

We've also prepared a Behavioral Interview Question Database that requires the job candidate to respond using a format described in our publication on the Behavioral Interviewing Technique.  The way these questions are asked is very different than during a more traditional interview.  Never-the-less, you should prepare for both types of job interviews.

Database Question Structure

This job interview question database is arranged to provide the user with questions - not answers.  We've provided guidance on answering interview questions elsewhere.  That particular publication will help you understand how to construct positive responses to even the most difficult interview questions.

The way to use this database is as a resource when preparing for an actual job interview.  This database will give you a good feel for the types of questions that might be asked during an interview.  By reviewing these questions and practicing your response, you're chance of success during an actual job interview is greatly increased.

Job Interview Questions by Category

Finally, we've grouped the questions in this database into categories of questions.  For example, there are questions concerning college or a candidate's academic background and there is a category of interview questions concerning your work ethic.

When practicing these questions, you might want to select one category at a time since your response to the question and your mode of thinking will be similar.  By practicing your response to different variations of similar interview questions, you'll also be far less nervous and much more confident during an actual interview.
